Online discussion: The brain drain crisis in Africa

Brain drain has continued to remain a huge concern for Africa’s transformation and sustainable development. According to the International Organization for Migration (IOM), Africa has been losing 20,000 professionals each year since 1990. The African Community of Practice on Managing for Development Results (AfCoP-MfDR) has launched an online dialogue, inviting its members to participate in the discussion on "The brain drain crisis in Africa: impact and implications for Africa’s transformation." It focuses on how this problem can be overcome to reduce shortage of human capital needed for the sustainable development of the region.
